Course Overview

The Commercial Catering Changeover Package at Vulcana Training is for engineers who want to expand their scope into commercial catering environments, such as restaurants, takeaways, school kitchens, and canteens. The course leads to ACS certification in catering safety through the CODC changeover module, with appliance modules COMCAT1 and COMCAT3.

It is suitable for gas engineers who already hold a valid core gas qualification – either domestic or commercial. Refresher training is included before both written and practical assessments.

Important Note:
This qualification does not cover mobile catering units such as food trucks or trailers. For that, engineers must complete the CMC qualification separately.

Course Modules / Elements:

CODC – Changeover to Commercial Catering Gas Safety
Provides recognition in commercial catering core safety for engineers with an existing commercial core qualification.

COMCAT3 – Deep fat and pressure fryers

Optional Add-on Modules:

  • COMCAT2, COMCAT4 or COMCAT5 – Available upon request

  • TPCP1 / TPCP1A – Testing and purging (booked separately)
